School Site Council

The School Site Council (SSC) monitors data for our school and approves the School Plan and budget. It is an important interface for various stakeholders to reflect on the state of our school and share in school governance.

The SSC has decision-making authority over the use of federal funding that is allocated to the school. The SSC annually reviews and updates the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), including proposed expenditure of funds allocated to the school. The SSC supports student achievement through continuous development, monitoring, and evaluation of the SPSA. Additionally, the SSC:

  • Gives input on the School level Parent and Family Engagement Policy and the School Parent Compact

  • Develops, approves, and submits to the Governing Board a Comprehensive School Safety Plan (CSSP) by March 1st of every year

  • Gathers input from existing parent advisory groups on campus for the purpose of developing the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)

  • Reviews the Universal Complaint Procedure (UCP)

The School Site Council (SSC) is composed of the school principal, teachers, support staff, parents/guardians, and student members at the secondary level.

Members:

  • Aaron Jones

  • Nicol Jacob
