Building Community: The Madera Welcome Program

Starting at a new school can be daunting for both students and their families. The Madera Welcome Program pairs newer families with returning families to help ease the transition, share information, and build meaningful connections within our school community.

Returning families serve as friendly guides offering support throughout the year. Whether it’s figuring out drop-off lines or navigating ParentSquare, a returning family is there to help. Newer families offer fresh perspectives and ask questions that can help us all learn something new.

This program is open to any new family who has been at Madera for three years or less. Returning families are invited to volunteer as partners to a new family. Together, we can create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every family knows they belong.
