Madera families, thank you for a wonderful celebration of culture & community. From the number of delicious dishes to the number of helping hands, it was a fantastic night.
We are grateful for the local businesses who generously added food to our potluck table:
Thank you to the El Cerrito UPS Store on San Pablo Avenue for their support in printing the posters that decorated the MPR.
A huge round of applause for Ms. Leura and all the garden students who created the beautiful lanterns that transformed the MPR and terrace. An extra special thank you to the students who worked so hard to get all 400+ lanterns set up.
Our deep appreciation to the performers who shared their time, energy, and talents with us:

Why "Multicultural Night"?
You might remember previous iterations of this event as “International Night.” Here’s why we made the change. Nationality, country of birth, and ancestral home can all be an important part of someone’s identity. A person’s culture can also encompass many identities and practices not bound by geographic location. A multitude of cultures can (and do!) exist within a country’s borders. Wherever you, your parents, or your ancestors were born, we are all from the Madera community and we all belong here.
